The founder and the chief of the Bonver Dakar Project team is Tomáš Vrátný, who has participated in the Dakar Rally race since 2012. In the past three years, in which he has participated, he has occupied the 18th, 20th and 17th place, always completing the toughest and the most prestigious rally in the world. In 2014, among others, he has won the first place in the Polish marathon race Baja Drawsko. In addition to Tomáš Vrátný’s Czech-Slovak crew (Jaroslav Miškolci, the navigator, Milan Holáň, the on-board mechanic), the team in the truck category consists of other international crews, the Kazakh-Czech crew (Artur Ardavichus, the pilot, Alexey Nikizhev, the navigator, Daniel Kozlovský, the on-board mechanic), whose pilot took the excellent third place in the Dakar Rally 2012, while representing the Kamaz team, the Polish-Czech crew (Robert Jan Szustkowski, the pilot, Jaroslaw Kazberuk, the navigator, Filip Škrobánek, the on-board mechanic). All crews race with Tatra trucks, the specially bonneted Dakar specials Tatra Jamal. They are equipped with special racing power plants developed and supplied by another Czech team, MKR Technology, known in connection with the truck racing. This Židovice stable, run by its owner and technical director Mario Kress, cooperates not only in the supply of engines and other components, but it also collaborates in the development of racing specials, both with the Czech Bonver Dakar Project team and the Dutch Mammoet Rallysport team. A unique international alliance involving the cooperation both on the track and beyond has been concluded among these three racing teams. The Bonver Dakar Project team consists of more than 40 members from the Czech and Slovak Republic, Poland and Germany. In addition to international racing crews and a number of experienced technicians and mechanics, it also includes two physiotherapists, a logistician and several external foreign designers and developers.
